Christian Coalition president-elect resigns - CNN.com
"I wanted to expand the issues from only moral ones -- such as opposing abortion and redefining marriage -- to include compassion issues such as poverty, justice, and creation care," Hunter said in a statement. "We need to care as much for the vulnerable outside the womb as inside the womb."
So the President-elect of the Christian Coalition of America (CCA) steps down because the CCA board doesn't want to expand their causes. They'd prefer to stay narrow and focus just on a few moral issues. The CCA just doesn't get it. Christians are starting to see a bigger world than just being anti-abortion and pro-marriage. Those are important issues but there are so many more issues to engage in.
