Random Thoughts - 10/16/05
There are a lot of things on my mind and I'll go into some of them later when I have more energy:
It's pretty cool the White Sox are going to the World Series. I hope the Astros meet them but the Cardinals are a cool team also. In the end, Astros will be the world champs because of Pettite, Oswalt and Clemens.
It's too bad I had to miss God Blog Con but life does get very busy.
At the Coastal Church, where I do the Power Point slides one Sunday night a month, the Surfing Pastor had me enter the lyrics for a Switchfoot song called Politicians and to have us play it right before the message. The key lyric was "I pledge allegiance to a country without borders, without politicians". A great night!
I'm looking forward to the holidays as I'm taking some extra time off of work. I've been busting my butt and need some real time off.
The Dodgers need to hire a Dodger as their manager, not some Paul DePodesta robot.
Switchfoot starts another tour tomorrow. Don't miss them if they come within 100 miles of you.
It looks like I'll be slowly moving out of a position of responsibility with an organization I helped to co-found, For Hearts and Souls. Please keep this wonderful organization in prayer as there are many folks in Mongolia doing God's work under the umbrella of this org.
