So, going a bit personal, my oldest son ran for ASB president at his elementary school. Today he spoke in front of around 1000 kids, teachers, staff and parents. He was one of 8 candidates and they had the election right after the speeches. He was told later that afternoon that he'd lost. It truly doesn't matter as I am so proud that he had the courage to even run; something I was always scared to do as a yute. We went out and celebrated tonight anyway.

That's great to hear about your son. Remember at Los Osos Jr Hi (my 16 yr old wears my 27 yr old school t-shirt with pride) some girl wanted to be on the "associate student's body"? That raised some eyebrows. lgp
Tim, that's the kind of effort that kids s/b rewarded for...way to go! Speaking in front of 1,000 people is many adults' biggest fear.
Lyndon, you still have a t-shirt from LOJH??? Was that like your gym shirt? I don't remember ever getting one. That's gotta be worth something!
