I never could understand why the Democrats seem to love going after majority leaders. Did taking down Gingrich help them? No. Did taking down Trent Lott help them? No. Will taking down DeLay help them? No.

It makes infinitely more sense to go after political leaders at the ballot box, like Republicans did with Senator Tom Datschle in 2004. That was much more effective and beneficial to the power structures than all of this bluster over opposition leadership.
