The local band that isn't...
Waking Ashland formed at Cal State Northridge but lead singer Jonathan lives in Cardiff (also known for being the home of another Jonathan from Switchfoot). Waking Ashland recently signed to Tooth & Nail, and are currently touring the country.
Waking Ashland is piano driven rock. I saw them perform last night and they were great. They are also on the same Japanese label that Parker Theory is on. Please check these guys out. They are great guys, and they make good music.
