It's great to hear that Mel Gibson is re-releasing a less intense version of The Passion of the Christ. I'm hopeful that my kids will be able to see it but there's not a way to sugar coat the passion and be true to the story. I'm hopeful.

Posted by: gloria at March 10, 2005 12:55 PMWOW a new censord verson of APassion of the Christ, wow, all I can say is for those who thought the first film was to violent, I would love to see every last one of them go threw what Jesus did, and see if the pain and agonyof being beat'n and crucified by the hands of the old wretched world.. after christ died it was a big kick in the ass, whole fuck it was him, ooops our bad, and it seems to me that people are just as bad now as they were 2500 yrs ago or so, I meanthe truth is right infront of us and all we can say is wow its not a disney ending, how fucking shallow is that us all of us, myself included.. I can honestly say if Jesus were to come back today, I would be certain to go to hell, and you know what, I would deserve it, as well as the rest of us. I am a married man and father of 2 beautiful children, I don't go to church, and yeah I say the lord name in vain sometimes. I smoke, and swear, and personally I think this is a film that should have been another wake up call, I mean people show more concern towards bashing a film and saying it is too violent, ifits too violent don't see it, if you do see it and don't like it, don't ruin it for those of us who like to see things that may have really happened, I mean I know I was not around 2500 yrs ago where you? I mean Jesus was a great prophet, the human kind needs prophets, even if they are false ones, I mean where would we have been without false hope, it keeps us goign and to clearify for everyone no I do not think Jesus was a fake, I am only using this as an example..I mean false hope keeps us all going when we think we can't go on, its love, and courage, and faith, sheer blind faith,
So before you go asking to change a great film, as yourself, was I there when it happened,
and for those of you who say yes,
please tell me what happened.
And for those of you who say no and still feel it should be changed, shame on you,
I knwo it was a shame what was in the film, but get over it and move on.

I loved the movie Passion of the Christ the first version. You cant help what happen, but Mel Gibson put the truth in it. It was heartfelt. and if you didnt want to see it you should of known the first few minutes of it. What happened in the past is what happen and you cant hide that by less intense version.
