Evangelical Underground - Finding A Niche Within A Niche
6. Either you are a Christian blog or a Political blog, there is no “spoon.” Look, let’s be real. You aren’t going to put a different spin on the war in Iraq, and no, you won’t be able to work God or your faith into every post about Carl Rove. Pick a niche and stay with it. While I’ve ventured into the political arena often, I’ve always returned to my religious niche. I always maintained my blog’s identity as being of a religious nature.
Very interesting commentary. My blog seems to have stradled both the political and religious. I look at my blog as commentary on almost anything from my own journey of faith. I'll have to ponder this a bit more.

My goal is to write about relevant issues to families within and outside California but always giving it a focus that is Christ centered. I choose my topics based on that fact. It is not my goal to reinvent the wheel just reveal political and newsworthy items which affect families. Because apart from Christ I can do nothing and nothing will improve He must be and is at the core of all I do.

In other words, an intelligent view of the world from the particular brand of Christianity that the author subscribes to. Maybe clear as mud. Sorry, I'll think about it too.
