One thing that Republicans learned in 1996 is that you can't just be against an opponent. There needs to be a compelling reason to vote for someone not just against the opponent. I'm hopeful that when 2008 rolls around that us Republicans don't just base our election on defeating Hillary. We need to be ready to nominate someone we can be proud of and to rally around.
