CNN Headline News - Picking Their Polls

Despite having their own polling via Gallup, CNN Headline News decides to highlight the American Research Group polls that favor Kerry. I wonder why.

Are you familiar with the internals of the Gallup Poll?

In their samples they routinely get 39% Republicans even though the 2000 electorate was only 35% Republican.

You shouldn't worry about how CNN does or does not cover Gallup, what you should worry about is that if Gallup were weighted properly it would show that Bush is down 4%!

If you went over to the Democratic blogs you would see that Democrats complain vehemently about the Republican bias at CNN. Instead of whining about network bias you should have spent your time learning about polling.

If you were able to understand polls you would be aware that the President has lost. He knows it, Karl Rove knows it, Ken Mehlman knows it. I guess you'll have to wait until Tuesday to find out.
