What a stinkin' joke! Saturday Night Live is so far down in the toilet that they let on lip syncers? I saw Outkast do a lip sync also on a previous replay. Hey SNL, get some real artists like Switchfoot. Ashlee Simpson is just someone who's a zero talent trying to gravy train off of her sister.
UPDATE: If you can't do it live, then you can't do it. The Switchfoot guys have been on many late night shows and it's clear they were live. Yes, imperfections show but that's rock 'n roll.
ANOTHER UPDATE (this really ticks me off): I remember a few years ago Michael Jackson did a "performance" on the MTV Video Music Awards and he frickin' lip synced the whole darn thing. Afterwards a bunch of moronic artists were praising how great the performance was. There was one artist who called him on it and now I can't remember that artist. It was someone from something like Foo Fighters or Blues Traveler (both excellent bands). More anger later on this topic later, I'm sure.

I'm not sure that it's just the artists are afraid to play live. I think the producers don't want to leave anything to chance. They don't want imperfections. Probably the negative side of the Janet Jackson Super Bowl punishments is that television producers can be held liable for anything that goes wrong. Probably the grandaddy of television music control freakishness were Ed Sullivan show producers filming Elvis only from the waist up.

i do agree with some of the thing that people say about her because they are right and she knows that she cant sing so she has to have someone else to do it.

Ashlee performed last night at the MTV Music Awards and proved she should stick to recorded vocal tracks when "singing" live.

Her next album if there is one better be good. newly weds (jess and nick) thats probably fake too! lets just call them the fake family hahahaha! poor ash ( the rebel thing was a good Idea though).

I really think she (along with her parents) have convinced herself that she can really sing and that is a damn shame. It is amazing what a little money can do for you. Let's face it, we all know that's how she made it. She woke up one morning and was like "hey I think I will become a singer today" and from there...........Real rock and R&B bands are out for years before they are discovered and have their own group. Ashlee hired one, YOU BE THE JUDGE........
Wow, if she is the future of our (American) music, we are definitely in trouble.
