John Kerry should NEVER give a lecture about faith and works given his past. There was only one person using their faith for political gain and it wasn't George W. Bush.
But I think you're missing the Catholic tradition Kerry is coming out of. To me that tradition is about getting out in the world and fighting for equality and justice. It seems there's a disconnect between the Republican taunts that Kerry is a liberal and the idea you're putting forth. If he's the liberal you claim, then you're putting him in a tradition of liberals like John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, and Martin King. And those names are synonymous with the liberal's fight for equality and justice. Faith and works.

He's supported the North Vietnameze position on the Vietnam war but that's about it. He's a tax and spender with a very weak record on defense. That's not like the other JFK at all.
