Since Kerry was at his best last night and Bush wasn't, and yet the debate was still close (and I think Kerry really didn't provide any solutions), Bush will have lowered (unintentionally) the performance expectations. I don't know if Kerry will do any worse but we all know Bush can do better. Note to President Bush; be ready for 90 minutes, not 45.
Another observation, I honestly don't know how people can not screw up when getting grilled for 90 minutes.
