Glenn Reynolds - No Questioning Kerry

Tip to NRO Corner.

MSNBC - GlennReynolds.com: JOHN FORBES DUKAKIS

Great stuff. Since Kerry has made his Vietnam service such a huge part of his campaign he will need to provide some answers. He will also need to answer for his anti-war statements and his Senate record.

For now, Bush needs to continue pushing the items in his convention speech. When the debates come he needs to highlight what Kerry did in the Senate including his Iraq flip-flop-flip. I wonder what Kerry's position will be next month?

I thought his article was typical Reynolds bad lawyer logic, packed with strawmen he witlessly destroys (in his own feverish hack mind I'm sure he felt he was SIMPLY BRILLIANT!!!!). Why you conservatives read Glenn Reynolds is beyond me when you have solid thinkers like Brooks, Kristol, Will, Gergen, and so many others around. But having said that...

I thought Glenn's last line was good.

"One question for voters...is this:  If Kerry can't run a campaign, how can he run the Presidency?"

I agree this is part of the test. People don't have a good idea what kind of President a non-incumbent candidate would be. How a candidate puts together a campaign staff and leads the campaign itself probably has strong parallels to how he'd administer the country. If Kerry can't put together a campaign that can beat President Bush when Bush has made so many screw-ups---then I tend to agree with Reynolds.
