I have not read the latest book (I will soon) but if the same George W. Bush emerges from this book that emerged from the last Woodward book (Bush at War) then it's all good.
Posted by Tim at April 27, 2004 10:27 AMThere was an article in Investor's Business Daily which pointed out that everybody talks to Woodward because they know he's going to write about them whether they talk to him or not, so they might as well get in their side of the story. It was also noted that many members of the elder Bush administration spoke to Woodward on the assumption that their comments would only be made public in a book after the 1992 election. They were published in the Washington Post, and it was a great hurt to the Bush administration and a great assist for Bill Clinton. This might have been why Woodward was given total access by Clinton for his book "The Agenda"
