Certainly no person calling himself or herself a liberal, much less the Democratic Party leadership, need renounce the pack of jackasses who wrote those blog entries. This has nothing to do with Dem thought.

There's a more serious issue here in my opinion: That you think liberals generally need to renounce this. Are you beginning to believe liberals walk around with pitchforks and serpents' tails, molesting children, robbing banks, and bringing down neighborhood property values generally?

If so, then you might be hanging around cynical, nihilistic blogs that maybe you shouldn't hang around so much.

No. Liberals look just like you. We love our children, hate terrorism, volunteer in the community, sing in the car when our favorite rock bands come on the radio, respect our parents, fall in love, believe in marriage, care about seniors, vote every election, and firmly believe we live in the very best country on Earth. We're just like you in most important ways.

Maybe liberals think environmental laws ought to be a little stronger, a huge deficit is bad, that the UN should have a bigger role in Iraq, think Josh Marshall is smarter than Hugh Hewitt, and John Kerry is flawed but might be able to bring about peace and more jobs better than George Bush, but that's way different than cheering for burnt human carcasses hung on bridges.
