Think back to 1996. The Republicans picked a war hero, good man, lots of experience and dull as a doorknob. If John Kerry gets the nominations he's inspires the independent vote just like Bob Dole did. At the same time if Bush falters I'll take Kerry over Dean or Clark any day.
If Kerry is the nominee then I predict a Bush landslide. Kerry really doesn't give a compelling reason to change leadership and isn't inspirational at all. A 4-term senator complaining about special interests is just funny.
