Yahoo! News - NASCAR Changes Its Scoring System
This is a real dumb idea IMHO. If you want a good points system then look at the old F-1 system (10,6,4,3,2,1) or the Champ Cars. The main incentive should always be to reward the actual winner. Drivers being happy with a top-25 finish means something is broke and having cars with their hoods off running for points is also silly. There's a reason some of us call it NASCRAP.
