It looks like my Dodgers are in trouble as I think the Padres may be better than them. They've been spending their money pretty wisely and since July have acquired Brian Giles, David Wells, Ramon Hernandez and Jay Payton. Since I'm in San Diego at least the Padres will be fun to watch. With a bit of luck they will challenge for a playoff spot.

I agree. The Dodgers dumped salary while misleading their fans about their willingness to pay the price to remain competitive. The Padres, on the hand, have spent some money and havge obtained some quality players. As I also live in San Diego, I will be cheering them on.
