Sorry About The Light Blogging
Life has been busy so the blogging has been slow. I'm also just gathering my thoughts on all the controversies related to CIA leaks, WMD reports, Arnold and Rush. It just sucks that the media only shows one side and/or relies on weak sources to "report" on people. Here's my rundown:
CIA leaks - Democrats never cared about this stuff before (and neither has the elite press) until it happens to a Republican Administration. Bush should just get to the bottom of this now. Someone's head does need to role as someone got sloppy, but there doesn't seem to be anything criminal. Anyone in the press who thinks this Wilson guy has any credibility has no credibility with me.
WMD Reports - OK, no weapons have been found but documentation supporting the weapons programs and dual use capabilities proves that Saddam had something going on that was significant. Even without WMDs is the world a better place with or without Saddam in power? That's what Bush needs to push.
Arnold - This Hitler story does not pass the smell test. Heck, I can pick anyone out and then find someone that would be willing to make up a story. I think it was correct of Arnold to apologize for being inappropriate. I didn't see any finger wagging like Clinton.
Rush - I saw Rush make the comments on Sunday morning while I was working out. I wasn't comfortable with them, nor did I think they were correct. At the same time, I don't think they were racist, just wrong. If McNabb really sucked as a QB and he were made out to be a star then Rush would have been right. I think McNabb is a darn good QB. This whole drug thing is also smelly. If it is true that Rush was taking pain killers I have compassion for him. Let's remember his whole hearing loss issue. That must have been painful. At the same time, I'll wait for real information before jumping to conclusions. He should be no more penalized than any other celebrity who has a drug problem (if he even had/has one). Rush is in my prayers. If this is true, then he needs some help, if false (as I suspect) then he's being totally smeared.
