Arnold States Some Positions

This is some excerpts of Arnold's views when Arnold spoke with Sean Hannity. By Erica Werner ASSOCIATED PRESS.

He said he's in favor of legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes and protecting a woman's right to abortion, but against gay marriage and granting drivers licenses to illegal immigrants.

I'm not sure about MJ for medicinal purposes. If someone feels relief after chemo by smoking a joint I can't judge that. Abortion, no surprise. No gay marriage and no licenses for illegals sound good. He's already better than Davis or Bustamante.

Schwarzenegger described himself to Hannity as "pro-choice" but said he did not support late-stage procedures described as "partial-birth" abortions.

Partial-birth abortions is the first battleground. Let's win that one before going after anything else. This is good.

Asked whether he is in favor of parental notification when minors seek abortions, he replied, "I am. But in some cases when there is abuse in the family or problems in the family, then the courts should decide."

Uh, whatever.

Asked about gay marriage, Schwarzenegger said, "I do support domestic partnerships" but added that he was against gay marriage. He said marriage should be between a man and a woman.

He needs to define what he means by domestic partnerships but he's correct on marriage. Again, better than Davis or Bustamante.

Schwarzenegger told Hannity he would not raise taxes unless there was a state emergency.

Never raise taxes but still better than the alternative.

I'm surprised at some of his answers and I'd rather have some conservative than no conservative.
